As you guys must have already noticed across my many posts is my love for Indian textile and prints. The art of block printing and its many designs is an endless series of surprises. For those uninitiated do have a read on this post which speaks much about its history and many applications, https://www.utsavpedia.com/motifs-embroideries/hand-block-prints/

Recently, I purchased these great textiles and have enjoyed creating a set of Summer Kurtas and Shirts which are featured here in a set of stories. The designs in this post is created in collaboration with the brand, Mahotsav by Brijesh Kumar. I always find that one of the most amazing opportunities of shopping in India is the vast options of textiles that one can choose from and then customise their own clothes. Do check one of my early posts on Ikkat Textiles which was quite a fun project.

OLIVED FLORAL

A rare color not seen very often is this great olive and black pattern. Very bold and a designed with cuffs and a piped button collar the design is simple and striking.  Cut with the traditional curved edge of the Pathan style and worn with matching cotton pyjamas in the same olive colour. Bold royal jewellery this makes a great look for a special event and royal statement.

CHARCOAL ASHOKAS

This bold pattern is inspired from from miniature painting motif of the Ashoka trees. The fabric is very light and the pattern though large is in muted grey tones. A conversation starter gentleman always. Styled with loose sleeves and the plain black button and collar piping detail. Worn as all black in this look, its makes a sophisticated and impressive outfit and is teamed with cotton pants.
