Gold & Gold
The large royal traditional ear studs here ruled the idea of the combinations. Definitely dressy and more for a formal occasion like a wedding. The intricate work on the studs is worth noticing here and I can assure that you will have the heads turning. The Ring is double headed coined detail with an antique motif design on one side and 3 faceted beaded on the other which rise on each side of the finger. Teamed with the foil gold kada and vintage Swatch design you have definitely upped the game.
What can be more applicable than the idea of having the Eagles for the Baldeagle Box. The ear studs are from the Gold Souk in Dubai where the eagle of course the national bird. I loved the detailing on the piece, though so small they were beautifully done showing the majestic bird in flight. The oxidized ring is from the famous street markets of Connaught place and was a gift from a dear friend. To round it off is the beaten design Gold Kada which you also saw in the post above.
Earrings: Gold souk, Dubai | Ring : Connaught Place, street markets |
Kada: Damini, Chennai
One of the oldest most beautiful materials that one can see used in jewelry from the ages till today is Turquoise. A natural stone well known for its identifiable color and natural veins, it has always been one of my favorites. During one of my recent visits to the market of Kathmandu, Nepal the variety of designs available using this stone is immense. You can surely be spoilt for choice. Seen here in an elaborate bracelet with a combination of coral set in silver it has always been an head turner when I have taken it out for a stroll. Combined with a beaded necklace made entirely in turquoise and set off finally with very modern silver button earrings you have made your set. The other wrist takes the classic circle design of a classic timepiece also in silver with a blue dial.
That’s it for this Chapter 2 folks. Keep Blinging it up…..
